The following usage of my hearing aids reflect the above answers of questions. I wear my behind-the-ear analog everyday, because it works so well on, off, telephone, volume and picks up background sounds that are pleasing to hear. The digital is not used, in my everyday living in a farm environment... I use it, when I need optimal hearing, doing business, meetings, visiting, many people talking at one time... Frankly, I can't hear, without one or the other.
